On February 23rd, the vibrant Parish of Serampore came together to celebrate a significant milestone: the Golden Jubilee of the SSCC India presence. This joyous occasion was honored by the esteemed Rev. Bishop Salvadore Lobo, along with our Superior General, Rev. Fr. Albert Tutin. We were also joined by General Vicar Rev. Fr. Jean Blaise, provincial leaders and their delegates, as well as several Regional Superiors and Counsellors, who all contributed to a sense of unity and purpose at the event.

The celebrations began with a warm and heartfelt welcome extended to all distinguished guests and community members. Following the welcome, the atmosphere grew reverent as we participated in a Holy Eucharist. This sacred service was particularly special because it included the Sacrament of Confirmation, during which many members of our community were blessed and affirmed in their faith.

The culmination of the Eucharist led to an exciting highlight of the day: the cake-cutting ceremony. This moment symbolized not only the celebration of our past achievements but also our hopes for the future. After the cake-cutting program, we gathered for a delightful and lavish lunch, where everyone enjoyed delicious food and the warmth of fellowship.

As we shared stories and laughter over the meal, the spirit of togetherness and gratitude for the blessings we have received resonated throughout the gathering. With full hearts and satisfied appetites, we concluded our Golden Jubilee celebration, cherishing the memories we created and looking forward to the journey ahead as a united community.
